THE STORY

Hello, I'm Daud!

I am a Game Designer with a strong passion for creating memorable, engaging experiences. Whether it be new approaches to game design, the state of the industry at large, or just the release of an anticipated game, it all falls within my love and passion for our medium. Since designing new experiences requires a good understanding of what the market is looking for, I make a conscious attempt to play and experience as wide a spectrum of different games as possible.

I have received my Bachelor of Game Design Degree from one of the leading creative colleges in the world, Sheridan College. During my time there, I have participated in many game jams creating a variety of games across many different genres. Several of these projects went on to receive critical acclaim both from faculty and my peers, garnering awards and recognition for their design and robust mechanics. My education allowed me to experience each phase of development from the initial prototyping and green light phase, and eventually the final additions leading to a title's gold master.

The opportunity to experience a traditional development cycle like this has given me a comprehensive understanding of game development standards and practices, and I am eager to apply these skills in a professional studio environment.

Creativity does not come from idleness, rather it must be nurtured and built through a wide set of life experiences. As a creative, I am passionate about bringing the worlds I imagine to life.
